Besides looking outdated, the connect with us for Facebook and Instagram at the top of the page do not work.
By writing my project in a story format, it will encourage users to continue to use the website. Because I am creating a navigational site for college students to learn more about potential destinations, adding a narrative element can make the information more engaging and relatable. Storytelling helps to structure the content in a way that is easy to follow and memorable, allowing users to connect emotionally with the material. This approach can also highlight the benefits and unique aspects of each destination, making the learning experience more immersive and enjoyable. Ultimately, framing the project as a story can refine my ideas by providing a clear, cohesive framework that enhances user engagement and retention.
Crumbl Cookies place heavy emphasis on large bold typography for the name of the cookie with an equally large image of said cookie and smaller text that describes it below. While the call to action “Order Now” is like the description once hovered over it will appear clickable, filled in black, and in white text compared to the “Learn More” option that is on the same level. The hierarchy of this website is not only visually pleasing but also easy to navigate.
College students, especially newer ones, often find themselves unfamiliar with the Richardson area based on taking the 883 routes. This lack of knowledge limits their exploration and enjoyment of the local community.
The primary audience is college students, especially those attending UT Dallas. These are curious and experimental students hoping to enhance their college experience either solo or in a group.
While the UT Dallas app provides the campus map, it unfortunately only searches for things on campus and not out of it. Other competitors like Google Maps or the DART app are better at offering information about outside destinations but lack a friendlier approach.
Life as a college student is challenging but it’s important to take a breather and look beyond the campus walls. Discovering new places is much more thrilling and enjoyable than looking at the same old things.
Encourage students to step out their comfort zone and explore Richardson. Highlight unique aspects of popular or unknown places for engagement.
Succes can be measured by the number of people who leave reviews and feedback by users who went to a specific place and wish to let others know about their time there.
